My Journey Home

My Life. Beautiful, Ugly, Unfiltered.

turning it up a notch & stepping on toes.

It’s kinda what I am known for.  I don’t do it (always) on purpose.  I don’t really like confrontation all that much.  It makes my stomach hurt when I think of the drama it may cause if I say something someone doesn’t like…and yet at the same time, I just can’t sit back idly and say nothing when there is something that so obviously needs to be addressed.  I try my best to respect other people’s feelings, and offer my advice as just that.  Take it or leave it.

I am not offering up an apology here, rather a fair warning to all of you readers.  In some of my up and coming topics I plan on showcasing my viewpoint on many more things without apology, and while I will always respect that everyone has a different opinion– I will only be writing my own.  I want to start talking much more about Parenting Issues, Discipline and Child Development and many other things that I (and many others) are highly passionate about.

I really hope you will hang with me, understand my heart and come to appreciate that above all if I’m stepping on your toes, it’s not with the intention of hurting your feelings.  I step on your toes with an intention of making you think about where you are walking in life. Is it the path that you have chosen for yourself? Or is it the one you have been pushed down by the mass flow of population and the not so subtle pressures we all feel as people, spouses, and parents to go against our instincts and do what is “right” for our families?

I pray in the coming days that conversation will be stirred among all of you, and most of all you will begin to think about why you do what you do when it comes to your relationships, families, and yes-even parenting techniques!

As the Cat always says….

Here we go-go-go-go….on an Adventure!

I like how you set this up, letting the readers when what they will be in for in the coming days. Writing about specific parenting issues can definitely ruffle some feathers. Parents sure can be passionate about how they do things! You have a great approach.
